What Goes In The Residential Containers?

If you don't find what you're looking for on the alphabetical list below, email AskOzzie@alamedacountyindustries.com** and Ozzie will try to assist you. Another good resource is Alameda County's Stop Waste program; checkout their website at www.StopWaste.org or give them a call at 877-STOPWASTE. Stop Waste has a wonderful list of great places to recycle odd items like computer diskettes, bicycles, toilets, eyeglasses, pagers, hearing aids, carpet and carpet padding, video tapes, and a whole lot more.

What Goes in The Three Residential Containers?
Key:
Items in gray go in the garbage container.
Items in green go in the organics container.
Items in blue go in the recycling container.
Please contact Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste for instructions on how to get rid of items listed with a red asterisk as well as other toxic or poisonous materials. You may reach them at (800) 606-6606 or www.household-hazwaste.org.

If you have a lot of electronic scrap to recycle, please send an email to AskOzzie@alamedacountyindustries.com** and let Ozzie know what exactly you need to get rid of. Ozzie may be able to assist you.
